Interreg project FINNOPACK

Innovation across borders.

In the EU-Interreg project FINNOPACK, Goerner Formpack, together with two Slovenian research partners, is developing the next generation of fiber-filled packaging: the Institute of Pulp and Paper and the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Ljubljana.

Three partners from two countries are pooling their expertise to develop modern packaging solutions made from alternative fibers, reinforced with nanocellulose. The project aims to create functional, resource-saving packaging that utilizes local resources and reduces waste – an example of how European cooperation between research and industry drives innovation.
